'mmmmbacon' has been my email address on yahoo for the last four years. It was, of course, inspired by Homer Simpson, and his love of all things pork. I share with Homer a love of bacon that drives me to consume it often, despite my earnest desire to stay healthy. It is this kind of inner turmoil that makes me the lovable guy I am. Or so my wife tells me, anyway.

Anyway, this site is my vanity space on the internet. I.e., where you go to find out more about me than you'd probably ever ask for. It's a place for me to write things to a hypothetical audience, and also to have a place to store interesting links I find and share them in true blog fashion.

Finally, one of the biggest reasons for me to have this site is to play around with the technology that makes it happen. This site uses Drupal, a Content Management System (CMS) based on PHP and MySql. It's easily customizable and I plan to customize it. The impetus for that came from my desire to volunteer for the Howard Dean campaign, and they are using this technology. So this site is partly my efforts to become relevant to that cause.
